In a moment of sheer irony that would make even the most seasoned political satirist green with envy, the Taliban recently organized a grand parade at Bagram Airbase to commemorate the historic contributions of none other than Vice President Kamala Harris.

Yes, you heard that right. The woman whose primary foreign policy experience involves nodding emphatically during meetings has been honored by none other than the Taliban, now proudly wielding an arsenal that would make even the Pentagon do a double-take.

The once ragtag group of goat herders and mountain-dwelling misfits, who previously relied on rusty AK-47s and an unwavering commitment to…well, whatever it is they believe in, have now morphed into a fully equipped military force.

Warning: Account balances and purchasing power no longer tell the same story. Know in 2 minutes if your retirement is working for you.

Their newfound strength, they say, is thanks in large part to Harris and the Biden administration’s decision to, shall we say, leave behind a little going-away present when they departed Afghanistan in 2021.

“We could never have become this strong without Kamala Harris,” declared Hassan Al-Samir, the Taliban’s newly minted spokesterrorist, who, by the way, just learned how to properly pronounce “Harris” last week.

“Though we were once a rag-tag band of goat herders causing trouble in the mountains, we are now a fully equipped military force. Thank you, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. You helped make us what we are today. Death to America!”

It’s a rare moment when terrorists openly acknowledge their gratitude to American leadership, but who can blame them?

After all, they’ve got enough helicopters, tanks, and Humvees to fill a Pentagon garage sale, all thanks to the administration’s hasty exit from the region.

One could almost imagine Biden and Harris, somewhere in the recesses of the White House, receiving an engraved “Thank You” card, hand-delivered by the world’s most notorious militant group.

The parade was nothing short of spectacular. Picture this: thousands of cheering Taliban fighters, some still trying to figure out how to operate the complex machinery, parading down the once-secure airbase, which now serves as their personal playground.

The display of military hardware, all gleaming with a fresh coat of desert dust, was a stark reminder of the consequences of leaving the keys to the kingdom behind.

“They have done more for us than anyone else,” Al-Samir continued, visibly fighting back tears of joy, or perhaps it was just the desert wind.

“All of these helicopters, tanks, and Humvees… we owe it all to the generosity of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. We only wish they were here to help us celebrate the anniversary of our victory. After all, it could not have happened without them.”

It’s heartwarming, really. In a world divided by political strife and ideological battles, it’s nice to see that at least someone is happy with American leadership—though perhaps not in the way most voters had envisioned.

The Taliban, clearly, has found its new heroes. If you listen closely, you might even hear the faint sound of the Star-Spangled Banner playing in the background as they march through Bagram.

Now, while most of us would be content with a simple “thanks” when we do someone a favor, the Taliban has gone above and beyond.

They even extended an invitation to Biden and Harris to join them at the celebration. Unfortunately, those invites seem to have gotten lost in the mail, or perhaps they were intercepted by an overzealous White House intern.

Either way, the absence of the administration’s key players didn’t dampen the spirits of the attendees.

In a final note of optimism, Al-Samir shared the hopes and dreams of his organization for the future.

“Are you kidding?” he said with a grin that could only be described as menacing. “Nothing would make us happier than seeing a President Kamala Harris. It would really boost our morale around here.”

And with that, the Taliban’s newfound military might rolled into the sunset, powered by American-made engines and a newfound confidence that only a Vice President Kamala Harris could inspire.

As the dust settled on Bagram Airbase, one couldn’t help but wonder: in the grand game of global politics, who exactly is winning?

The Taliban, with their parade and their American toys, seem to think they have the answer.

But for the rest of us, we’re left scratching our heads, wondering how in the world we ended up here.

It’s a strange, strange world when your enemies are throwing parades in your honor.
