A Delta Airlines passenger says she experienced the flight from hell — not because of turbulence or delays, but because she was covered in a stranger’s vomit. And according to her, what came after was even worse.
Laura Juntgen recently took to TikTok to recount the revolting episode that has now garnered over 260,000 views.
In the nearly ten-minute video, she described how a seemingly routine flight home from New York turned into a nightmare when a fellow passenger projectile vomited on her — and Delta allegedly failed to properly respond.

Juntgen was seated near the rear of the plane with her daughter, close to a storage area, when a male passenger stood up just as the aircraft was preparing for takeoff.

She recalled the man appearing disoriented as he attempted to walk toward the back, seemingly in search of a restroom. A flight attendant instructed him to return to his seat — but he didn’t.
“He doesn’t move, he just stands there and he kind of has this funny look on his face,” Juntgen said. Moments later, the man covered his mouth in a last-ditch effort to hold back what was coming. But it was too late.
“Oh my gosh, he’s gonna puke,” she remembered thinking — and then it happened.
“He covers his mouth to catch it, and it goes out the sides and showers down the right side of my body,” Juntgen recalled.

“I’m not talking just like liquid, this is like chunks and debris like hitting me, going down my side, on my armrest, on my coat, on my seat.”
She described a “waterfall of puke” cascading into the storage area and even soaking through her pants. Screenshots she posted show the aftermath — a mess that wouldn’t be out of place in a disaster movie.
While the pilot eventually turned the plane back to the terminal and medical personnel were brought on board, Juntgen said Delta’s response from that point was lackluster at best.
One flight attendant eventually handed her “two small towelettes and five cocktail napkins,” she said, leaving her to scrub vomit off her body with her bare hands. “The puke was gross,” she said, “but the response by Delta was worse.”
After a brief cleaning by the crew, she and her daughter were moved to new seats, but no other aid or supplies were offered. Forced to endure the remainder of the three-hour flight in soaking-wet clothes, Juntgen said she felt humiliated and abandoned.
Once home, she filed a formal complaint with the airline. A week later, Delta responded with what she called a “textbook” message and a $120 voucher — a gesture she found insulting.
Coincidentally, she received a follow-up call from Delta shortly after posting her TikTok video, only to be told the issue had already been addressed and “there was nothing more Delta could do.”

“Keep that in mind when you book your next flight… You may need to clean bodily fluids off of your body with your bare hands,” Juntgen warned viewers. “But don’t worry, they will credit your next flight $120 and tell you that gesture was already above and beyond.”
Online commenters were horrified. One viewer said, “OH.MY.GOD. I would’ve had to open the emergency door and fall to my death.” Another wrote, “I’m not even gonna lie, I love Delta Airlines, but only $120 after getting puked on is a scam and unreal.”
Many others shared how the situation would have been unbearable for them, especially those with emetophobia — an intense fear of vomiting or seeing someone else vomit. “I would be in a full-blown panic attack,” one TikTok user admitted.
In a statement to The New York Post, a Delta spokesperson said, “We apologize to the customer for their experience. Our Customer Care team reached out to the customer for a resolution.”
For Juntgen, however, the damage is done — and so is her trust.
