Jennifer Lopez came under fire Monday after making sexually explicit remarks during her concert at the Lucca Summer Festival in Italy.
The 55-year-old singer and actress, currently on her “This Is Me… Now: The Tour,” sparked criticism from social media users and conservative commentator Megyn Kelly after delivering a series of personal confessions about her bedroom preferences in front of a live audience.
“I have to be honest with you, sometimes I get in different moods at night. I don’t know about you, but I do — and sometimes I like it hard,” Lopez said during the performance, according to The U.S. Sun.
The remarks were met with loud cheers from the audience, though they quickly generated online backlash.
The “Hustlers” star went on to describe varying sexual moods in greater detail.
“Other days, I am feeling a little romantic,” she added.
“You put on candles and soft music. On those days, I like it real slow. But there’s other days… maybe because it’s a new kind of time for me, maybe because it’s summertime and it’s hot outside, I feel a little more naughty.”
Lopez concluded the moment by smiling and asking the crowd, “You ever get that feeling? Where you feel like being naughty? On those days, I like it real fast.”
The on-stage comments coincided with Lopez’s performance of her new track “Up All Night,” which she reportedly named the tour after.
The song’s lyrics suggest the narrator is taunting a former partner: “I’m up all night, dancing on somebody, living my best life / I bet you wish that you were by my side / I got tired of you breaking me down / Look at me now.”
A source told The U.S. Sun that Lopez has recorded enough new material to fill an album, much of it inspired by her personal life, including her high-profile relationship with actor Ben Affleck.
“Wreckage Of You was so specifically about Ben, and Up All Night points to where Jennifer is at in her life right now. This is a whole new era for Jennifer and she isn’t going to be holding back,” the source claimed.
However, not everyone was receptive to Lopez’s “new era.”
Conservative media figure Megyn Kelly sharply criticized the performance on X, posting a video clip of Lopez onstage surrounded by shirtless male backup dancers and mimicking various sexual positions.

Reactions to Kelly’s post were divided.
Several users agreed with her sentiments, calling Lopez’s performance “disgusting,” “embarrassing,” and “nasty.”
One commenter responded, “This is nasty. I couldn’t watch.”

Others criticized Kelly in return, accusing her of being overly judgmental or seeking attention.
“Jealous much?” one user wrote.
Another questioned, “Is there anything that does not offend MAGA?”
“Still grasping at relevance, Megyn?” another user commented.
Kelly has previously drawn attention for her criticism of celebrities.
Earlier this month, she commented on actress Sydney Sweeney’s appearance at the wedding of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez in Venice, saying, “Sydney Sweeney’s the new toast of the town out there because she’s got these enormous breasts that everybody’s obsessed with.”
Sweeney reportedly attended the event as a guest of Amazon Prime, where she is working on a project, despite having no personal connection to Bezos or Sánchez.
Lopez’s representatives have not responded to media requests for comment regarding her performance or Kelly’s remarks.
