“This morning, around 5:50 a.m., officers responded to the 11000 block of Ventura Boulevard for a nude man walking in the street. Upon arrival, the suspect charged at officers and was taken into custody. He was transported to a local hospital for a possible overdose,” an LAPD spokesperson told The New York Post.

Police did not initially identify the man, but multiple outlets including TMZ and The Post confirmed it was the Grammy-winning “Old Town Road” artist. Reports indicate that he may face charges once he is released from medical care.

The hospitalization followed unusual social media activity by the singer. Hours before the incident, Lil Nas X posted nearly a dozen photos on Instagram showing a cluttered home with artwork and furniture scattered around.

In one mirror selfie, he captioned, “And just like that she’s back. We’ve all waited so long. When dreamworld needed her the most.”

The entertainer has previously discussed mental health struggles. In a 2020 interview with Variety, he said his grandmother’s death in 2018 had a lasting impact.

“My grandmother passing — she was the first person close to me who died. It was devastating. And it made me a hypochondriac: I’d wake up, heart racing. It was scary.” He added that he began smoking marijuana heavily after her death.

Lil Nas X also revealed that his relationship with his mother has been strained due to her struggles with addiction.

“I never really talk about my mom. She’s an addict so we don’t have the closest relationship. Even trying to get her better — things didn’t quite work out. But there’s still love,” he said.

In April, the singer was hospitalized after experiencing partial facial paralysis. At the time, he posted photos from a hospital bed, writing, “I can’t even laugh right, bro. What the f**k. Oh my God, oh my God, bro.”

As of Thursday evening, his representatives had not issued a public comment regarding his latest hospitalization. Authorities confirmed that he remains under medical supervision and the incident is under investigation.
