Country music star Shania Twain marked her 60th birthday on Thursday by recreating one of her most famous looks from the late 1990s, as reported by Page Six.
The five-time Grammy winner posted on Instagram wearing a white button-up shirt and black underwear, a nod to the outfit she wore in her 1997 music video for “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!”
The post also featured a lyric from the song — “No inhibitions, make no conditions/Get a little out of line” — written in the background.

Twain paired the new photo with a throwback image from the 1980s, where she appeared in a sparkling blue suit with teased hair, preparing for a performance early in her career.
“Happy birthday to me! How can I be 60?” Twain captioned the post.
“So glad to have kept some photos from this time in the 80s when I had no idea what was ahead of me and Shania f**king Twain didn’t exist yet. I can’t begin to explain how grateful I am for the life that I have. For my family, friends, fans and the inspiration I get from all of you.”
She added that her goal is to continue “staying true” to herself. “I’ve tried to stay true to myself along the way and that’s my intention moving forward into the next chapter.”

Twain has spoken openly about body image and confidence in recent years. Months before her 60th birthday, she reflected on the meaning of “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” telling Us Weekly in March that the song symbolized her personal journey toward self-acceptance.
“Once I got behind the camera and started looking at clothes and fashion, I was like, ‘Wow, I’m actually a woman after all, and I think I might like it,’” Twain said.
“When I wrote ‘Man, I Feel Like a Woman!,’ it was an absolute celebration of that, and I felt empowered behind the camera. I was like, ‘They can’t grab me. I’m safe.’”
She acknowledged that her body does not match the supermodel standard she once admired but said she has embraced the reality of aging.
“Of course I don’t have the body I imagined — because my image of the perfect body is a supermodel with no cellulite, perfect proportions and a beautiful stride. This is just not me. You can wish a lot of time away ignoring what you actually look like. Just get real with yourself.”

In 2022, Twain told People magazine that showing off her “new body” in her late 50s felt “liberating.” “This is me expressing my truth. I’m comfortable in my own skin, and this is the way I am sharing that confidence.”
