Sean “Diddy” Combs is accused in a newly filed civil lawsuit of threatening an alleged rape victim into silence by invoking the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur, as reported by The New York Post.
The lawsuit, filed this week in Manhattan Supreme Court, was brought by Steve Otis, who claims he was working as a male escort in 2012 when Combs allegedly sexually assaulted him inside a Midtown Manhattan hotel suite after drugging him.
According to the court filing, Otis alleges that after the encounter, Combs issued a direct threat intended to ensure his silence.

“You better not say a word to anybody about this,” Combs allegedly told him, according to the lawsuit. The filing further claims Combs said:
“I’m not f—ing playing with you. If I can get Pac hit, what the f–k do you think can happen to you?”
The lawsuit describes a night in which Combs allegedly ordered Otis to engage in sexual activity with a woman “for multiple hours,” including acts the suit characterizes as degrading.
The filing alleges the encounter involved intercourse without a condom and ejaculating inside and on the woman at Combs’ direction.
After the encounter ended, Otis claims he went into the bathroom, where Combs allegedly demanded that he remain in the suite.
According to the filing, Combs then grabbed Otis’ penis while masturbating. The lawsuit alleges Combs inserted his finger and then his penis into Otis’ anus without consent.
“For roughly five minutes,” the filing states, Otis “continually told Combs to stop, screaming ‘no’ because he was in pain.”
Following the alleged assault, the lawsuit claims Combs again threatened Otis’ life, explicitly referencing his purported involvement in Tupac Shakur’s killing, which occurred in Las Vegas in 1996.
The filing alleges the threats continued years later. In 2014, after Otis posted a comment on Combs’ Instagram account, the lawsuit claims intermediaries connected to Combs contacted him.
According to the suit, the owner of the escort service Otis worked for, Cowboys4Angels, warned him that “Mr. Star” makes people “disappear.”
“Combs’ death threats were open-ended and self-enforcing: silence or death,” the lawsuit states.
Otis claims he did not feel safe pursuing legal action until Combs was incarcerated.
According to the lawsuit, Otis only came forward after Combs was sentenced to more than four years in prison in October following a months-long sex crimes trial.
Representatives for Otis and Combs did not respond to requests for comment.
Combs, once one of the most powerful figures in the music industry, continues to face extensive legal exposure.
Court records show he is currently the subject of nearly 70 civil lawsuits alleging misconduct ranging from sexual harassment to rape.
The wave of litigation against Combs began in late 2023, when his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit accusing him of rape and abuse.
That case helped prompt additional accusers to come forward with claims spanning more than a decade.
Combs has denied wrongdoing in prior cases. The latest lawsuit adds to the growing list of civil actions still pending against him.
