A man suspected of causing a hit-and-run crash in East Hollywood on Feb. 19 was arrested after allegedly fleeing the scene while naked, according to authorities and witness accounts.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Normandie Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard.

Multiple Los Angeles Fire Department vehicles responded to the collision, which resulted in injuries to several individuals, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

Video footage first obtained by ABC 7 Eyewitness News shows a man running from the crash site while holding a T-shirt and wearing no clothing.

Authorities said the man allegedly caused the crash before fleeing the scene on foot, drawing attention from bystanders as he ran down the street.

Police said multiple people were injured in the collision.

One person was transported to a hospital in critical condition, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Witness Ramondo Taylor told ABC 7 that the suspect had driven through a red light before the crash.

“He’s the one that caused the accident. He was going through a red light. He ran out of the vehicle naked. He was on drugs. It looked like he was homeless,” Taylor said.

Authorities later located and arrested the suspect.

Police believe he was under the influence at the time of the crash.

The man is facing possible felony hit-and-run and DUI charges.

Investigators have not released his name.
