Elijah Allman, the 49-year-old son of singer Cher and the late musician Gregg Allman, is facing multiple misdemeanor charges following his arrest at St. Paul’s School in Concord, New Hampshire, on Feb. 27, as reported by Fox News.

Allman was taken into custody after authorities responded to a disturbance at the elite boarding school.

He was charged with four misdemeanors, including two counts of simple assault and two counts of criminal trespass and criminal threatening, as well as a violation of disorderly conduct. He was later released on bail.

Officials told local television station WMUR that Allman has no connection to the school. According to a message sent to parents by St. Paul’s officials and obtained by the Concord Monitor, Allman claimed he was a “prospective parent.”

Allman, who is reportedly separated from his wife, singer Marieangela “Queenie” King, has no known children.

The message stated that Allman displayed aggressive behavior toward faculty members and police officers.

School officials said the incident began around 6 p.m. when Allman was driven onto campus by another individual and entered the dining hall as students were exiting.

Allman reportedly smoked a cigarette while interacting with students inside the dining hall.
