Video footage from Justin Timberlake’s June 2024 arrest in Sag Harbor, New York, has been released after the singer attempted to prevent it from becoming public.

The footage shows Timberlake, 45, being pulled over while driving a gray 2025 BMW in the Hamptons.

During the stop, officers asked him to complete a series of field sobriety tests.

According to the video, Timberlake appeared uncertain about the instructions at times and said, “These are, like, hard tests.”

As the interaction continued, Timberlake attempted to walk a straight line at the request of officers but stumbled more than once. At one point during the stop, he said, “My heart’s racing.”

Throughout the encounter, Timberlake remained cooperative with officers, responding with “yes, sir” as he followed instructions.

However, he declined multiple requests to take a breathalyzer test.

After the tests were completed, officers placed Timberlake in handcuffs and put him in the back of a police vehicle.

Shortly afterward, a woman identified as a friend of Timberlake arrived at the scene and questioned the arrest.

“You’re arresting Justin Timberlake right now?” she asked officers.

She then attempted to persuade them to reconsider, saying, “Can you guys please just do me a favor ’cause you loved ‘Bye Bye Bye’ or ‘Sexyback?’ Do me one favor!”

Officers allowed the woman to briefly speak with Timberlake before he was transported to jail.

Timberlake had been arrested on one count of driving while intoxicated and cited for two traffic violations: failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to keep right.

The arrest occurred after he had been out to dinner with friends at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor.

At the time of the arrest, a source told Page Six that police were stationed outside the restaurant.

The source said, “His friends were telling the police, ‘Let him go, let him go.’”

Additional reporting indicated Timberlake expressed concern about how the arrest might affect his scheduled performances.

A source said, “The cop didn’t know who he was at first.”

The source added, “Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’”

According to the source, the officer responded, “What tour?” and Timberlake replied, “The world tour.”

Timberlake was taken into custody that night, and a mugshot taken afterward showed him with bloodshot eyes.

Following the arrest, Timberlake later reached a plea agreement.

The original driving while intoxicated charge was reduced to a traffic violation, which is not classified as a criminal offense.

Earlier this month, Timberlake filed a lawsuit against the Village of Sag Harbor in an effort to prevent the release of the arrest footage.

Despite that legal effort, the video has now been made public.

The release of the footage provides a detailed look at the events leading up to Timberlake’s arrest, including his interaction with officers, the administration of field sobriety tests, and the moments immediately following his detention.

Authorities have not indicated any further action related to the case beyond the resolution reached through the plea agreement.
