Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville delivered a profanity-filled response to comedian Bill Maher during a recent episode of the “Politics War Room” podcast, escalating a public dispute that also involved criticism of President Donald Trump and comments about former FBI Director Robert Mueller, as reported by Fox News.

Carville directly addressed Maher after the comedian criticized him as a “crazy old man” suffering from what Maher described as “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

Maher argued that Carville represents a narrow segment of political media that is disconnected from everyday Americans.

In response, Carville rejected Maher’s characterization while also leaning into the label.

“Do me a favor, Bill. Try to get your head out of Bari Weiss’s a–,” Carville said during the podcast.

Carville summarized Maher’s criticism before responding to it directly, describing how Maher portrayed him and others with similar views.

“The argument is basically myself and people like me are crazy… we’re just blind rage, crazy, we can’t stand Trump,” Carville said.

He then said he agreed with that assessment, embracing the label Maher used against him.

“I’m going to agree with you. I’m crazy… a lot of people like me, we’re crazy,” Carville said.

Carville went on to describe how he and others react to the current political environment, claiming their frustrations begin early in the day.

“We wake up at 2 o’clock in the morning, throwing sh*t against the wall. I can’t believe this motherf**ker is the president of the United States,” Carville said.

He added, “Maybe our craziness is evidence of our sanity.”

The exchange came as Carville also criticized President Trump’s reaction to the reported death of former FBI Director Robert Mueller.

According to Carville, Trump responded to Mueller’s death by saying he was “glad,” which Carville argued should influence how critics assess the situation.

“Robert Mueller dies, and Trump says, ‘I’m glad,'” Carville said. “Will you be stuck with being insane about this?”

Carville concluded his remarks by stating that he and others who share his views would not change their position, despite criticism from figures like Maher.

“We’re not going to change… we’re not going to back off, not one iota,” Carville noted.

The White House responded to Carville’s remarks with a sharp rebuke. White House spokesperson Davis Ingle issued a statement criticizing the longtime Democratic strategist.

“James Carville is a stone-cold loser who clearly suffers from a severe and debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted his peanut-sized brain,” Ingle told Fox News Digital.

The exchange highlights ongoing tensions between prominent political commentators and strategists, as disputes over President Trump and broader political narratives continue to play out across media platforms.
