Rep. Brandon Gill, a Texas Republican, responded forcefully after radical communist streamer Hasan Piker attacked his wife, Danielle D’Souza Gill.

The clash began with Gill criticizing Piker’s remarks about America before Piker turned his attention toward the congressman’s family.

Gill reacted Friday to an Axios interview with Piker. During the interview, Piker claimed, among other things, that “pound for pound,” America conducts more terror around the world than al-Qaeda.

Gill answered with a blistering assessment of the streamer and his background.

He argued that Piker represented the case for ending birth tourism in the United States.

“Hasan Piker is the poster child for why we need to end birth tourism. He was born in America to Turkish nationals, was raised back in Turkey to hate western civilization, and now spends his time working to make America weaker and our enemies stronger.”

Gill’s message centered on Piker’s birth in America, his upbringing in Turkey, his hostility toward Western civilization, and his political advocacy.

The congressman also accused Piker of working to strengthen America’s enemies while weakening the country.

Rather than addressing Gill’s criticism directly, Piker attacked Danielle D’Souza Gill.

The personal attack drew an immediate response from Gill, who defended his wife’s citizenship, patriotism, and love for American culture.

Danielle is the daughter of author and commentator Dinesh D’Souza and Dixie Brubaker.

Gill emphasized that his wife was born in the United States to American citizens, drawing a sharp distinction between her background and Piker’s.

“My wife is an American, born in America to American citizens. She deeply loves our nation and its culture.”

Gill did not stop with that defense of his wife.

He turned the criticism back on Piker, contrasting Danielle’s affection for the United States with the streamer’s communist advocacy and affluent lifestyle.

“You, on the other hand, were born to foreign invaders and want to turn America into the third world culture you were raised in, while advocating for communism at your $3 million mansion in between electrocuting your dog.”

The response highlighted the contradiction Gill saw between Piker’s promotion of communism and his residence in a costly mansion.

Gill also repeated his argument that Piker seeks to import the culture in which he was raised into the United States.

Danielle’s father also entered the dispute and challenged Piker over the attack.

Dinesh D’Souza invoked his daughter’s faith, birthplace, and family before demanding that Piker show the public his own relatives.

“She’s Christian, born in America, and her mom is white. Care to show us a picture of your family?”

The confrontation comes as Piker plays a visible role in supporting Abdul El-Sayed, a radical left Michigan Senate Democrat candidate.

Piker is described as one of El-Sayed’s main cheerleaders in the Senate contest.

El-Sayed has repeatedly faced questions about whether he would disavow comments made by the communist influencer.

Those comments include Piker’s assertion that “America deserved 9/11.”

Instead of disavowing that statement, El-Sayed defended it by suggesting that it had been taken “out of context.”

He also blamed “gocha politics” and “cancel culture” for the controversy surrounding Piker’s remark.

That defense kept the focus on El-Sayed’s association with Piker and the streamer’s inflammatory statements about the United States.

It also added a political dimension to the increasingly personal exchange involving Gill, his wife, and her father.

The episode began with Piker’s claim about American conduct around the world and escalated after Gill condemned his background and political advocacy.

Once Piker targeted Danielle, Gill and D’Souza responded with their own pointed attacks, leaving the mansion-dwelling communist with plenty of questions to answer.
