Rob Lowe had a quick and emphatic answer when asked to identify his best screen kiss. The actor, 62, chose actress and model Nastassja Kinski during his Sunday appearance on “Watch What Happens Live, as reported by Page Six.

Host Andy Cohen posed the question during a game of “Plead the Fifth,” asking Lowe to name his best camera smooch.

Lowe responded with Kinski’s name immediately, without wavering as Cohen reviewed other notable screen partners from his career.

The alternatives Cohen mentioned included Demi Moore, Rashida Jones, Kim Cattrall, Calista Flockhart and Meg Tilly, among others. Despite the impressive list, Lowe stuck firmly with his original choice.

When Cohen asked why Kinski earned the distinction, Lowe offered a blunt response that captured his admiration. “Have a look at her.”

Lowe then explained just how striking he found Kinski at the time they worked together. “At that moment in time, she was probably the most beautiful woman I’d certainly ever seen.”

His confidence in naming Kinski did not mean the memorable kiss came easily. Lowe acknowledged that he felt intimidated by the prospect, recalling, “I was, like, very, very scared.”

Lowe and Kinski, now 65, appeared together in the 1984 film “The Hotel New Hampshire.”

Their shared work in the movie provided the screen kiss that Lowe would ultimately select over every other option Cohen raised.

Tony Richardson directed the comedy drama, which was adapted from writer John Irving’s 1981 book of the same title.

The film brought Lowe and Kinski together during the period he described while explaining his answer.

Away from his film and television roles, the “Outsiders” star has also been romantically linked to famous women.

His former partners named in the story include Melissa Gilbert and Princess Stéphanie of Monaco.

Lowe’s personal life eventually took a lasting turn with makeup artist and jewelry designer Sheryl Berkoff. The pair married in July 1991 and have remained married ever since.

They share two sons, Matthew, 32, and John Owen, 30. Lowe previously discussed how his relationship with Berkoff began when they met on the set of his 1990 erotic thriller, “Bad Influence.”

Speaking to People in 2022, Lowe described recognizing the potential for a serious future with Berkoff.

“I had the feeling that if I was ever going to be able to make it work with anybody, it was Sheryl,” he said.

Lowe went to rehab and became sober in order to have that future with her. He also reflected on feeling ready to exchange his earlier lifestyle for family routines and responsibilities.

“I’m happy I lived the life that I lived because I have no regrets, but I was super ready to coach Little League, carve pumpkins on Halloween, read books and serve hot lunch on Wednesdays,” Lowe said.

The actor has also recently revisited a far less romantic moment from his career.

During an appearance on SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live” last Thursday, Lowe discussed Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.

Lowe said he was “the only person happy” about the incident because he hoped it would divert attention from his own disastrous musical performance at the 61st Academy Awards in 1989.

He has described that performance as “the worst opening ever.”

“When Will Smith slapped Chris Rock, I was the only person happy. Because I was like, ‘Oh, good. So now that’s the worst moment in Oscar history,’” Lowe confessed.

That hope did not last, according to Lowe, because his Academy Awards performance continues to follow him. “But it turns out not really,” he said. “Turns out I still am dragged, dragged every year.”
