Jim Carrey has married his longtime girlfriend, Min Ah, following a relationship that the couple largely kept away from public view. The pair recently exchanged vows during a small private ceremony in Los Angeles, TMZ reported Wednesday.

The wedding came seven months after Carrey and Min Ah made their public debut as a couple at the César Awards in Paris in February. Carrey, 64, attended the ceremony to accept an honorary award.

Min Ah joined members of Carrey’s family for the event. She sat alongside his daughter, Jane, and his grandson, Jackson, as the “Bruce Almighty” actor received the honor.

Carrey shares Jane with his first wife, Melissa Womer. During his acceptance speech at the César Awards, which he delivered in French, the actor thanked his family before personally addressing Min Ah.

“Thank you to my wonderful family, my daughter Jane, and my grandson Jackson. I love you now and forever. Thank you to my sublime companion, Min Ah. I love you, Min Ah,” he said.

The affectionate acknowledgment offered a rare public glimpse into a relationship that Carrey and Min Ah had generally kept private. Their appearance together at the Paris awards ceremony marked their first public debut as a couple.

Before that event, the two had already been photographed together several years earlier. People reported that Carrey and Min Ah were first seen together in February 2022 after leaving a charity comedy show in Los Angeles.

The show was hosted by Judd Apatow and held at Largo. Although they were photographed departing the event, Carrey and Min Ah continued to maintain a largely private relationship before stepping out together at the César Awards.

The marriage is Carrey’s third. He married Womer, a former actress and Comedy Store waitress, in 1987, and the couple divorced in 1995.

Carrey and Womer share Jane, who is 38. Jane’s presence with her son, Jackson, at the César Awards placed three generations of Carrey’s family together for the actor’s honorary award ceremony.

After his divorce from Womer, Carrey married Lauren Holly in 1996. Holly was his costar in “Dumb and Dumber,” but their marriage lasted less than a year and ended in 1997.

Carrey later dated model and actress Jenny McCarthy. Their relationship began in 2005 and ended in 2010.

The actor was also linked to Ginger Gonzaga, his costar on “Kidding.” Carrey and Gonzaga made their red carpet debut at the Showtime Golden Globes Nominees Celebration in January 2019 before splitting later that year.

Carrey’s appearance at the César Awards attracted attention beyond his public debut with Min Ah and his acceptance of the honorary award. Social media users commented on what they described as his changed appearance and speculated that he had undergone plastic surgery.

The online reaction also included claims that a “clone” or impersonator had attended the Paris ceremony instead of Carrey. His representative, Marleah Leslie, directly rejected those claims in a statement to Page Six on March 2.

“Jim Carrey attended the César Awards, where he accepted his Honorary César Award,” Leslie told Page Six.

The César Awards appearance ultimately placed Carrey, Min Ah, Jane and Jackson together during a significant public occasion. Seven months later, the actor and his longtime girlfriend reportedly married in a private Los Angeles ceremony.
