Former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is joining Fox News as an on-air contributor, giving the network a political voice with recent experience inside President Trump’s White House. Fox News announced the move on Monday, as reported by The New York Post.

Leavitt, 29, stepped down from her White House position in August after serving as Trump’s chief spokeswoman. She is scheduled to begin her new role at the cable network on Nov. 1.

The position will place Leavitt across both the news and opinion sides of Fox programming, according to a press release obtained by The Post.

Her appearances will therefore extend across multiple parts of the network’s lineup.

The move gives Leavitt a new platform after her departure from Washington. It also allows her to remain active in political discussion while living with her family in New Hampshire.

The Times reported that Leavitt left Washington following the birth of her second child. She had said that she wanted to devote more time to her children while continuing to support Trump and the Republican Party publicly.

That combination of family priorities and continued political involvement now leads to a contributor position at Fox News. The network’s announcement confirms that Leavitt will remain visible in national political coverage after leaving the White House.

Leavitt is the second former Trump press secretary to make the move to Fox News. Kayleigh McEnany previously followed the same path from the Trump White House to the cable network.

Her new role is expected to draw directly from both her White House service and her campaign experience. Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott told the Times that those experiences give Leavitt a distinctive perspective on the current political landscape.

Leavitt’s position as Trump’s chief spokeswoman made her a public representative of the administration before she stepped down in August. At Fox, she will now offer political commentary rather than speak from the White House podium.

The contributor role includes appearances across Fox’s many platforms, according to Leavitt’s statement. She described the opportunity as a chance to bring her perspective, energy, and candor to the network’s audience.

Her move also places another prominent former Trump spokeswoman within Fox’s programming. With McEnany already at the network, Leavitt becomes the latest former administration communications official to take on a television role there.

Fox News is owned by Fox Corp, which is a sister company to News Corp, the corporate parent of The Post. The Post reported the network’s announcement and obtained the press release outlining Leavitt’s expected appearances.

Leavitt expressed gratitude for the formal contributor position and noted that she had already been appearing on the channel. “I am grateful for the opportunity to continue appearing on Fox News Channel as an official member of the extraordinary team at Fox News Media,” Leavitt said.

She also pointed directly to her White House experience as a central part of what she plans to bring to viewers. Her statement emphasized that she intends to maintain the same approach she displayed during her time as press secretary.

“I look forward to bringing my unique perspective from my experience as White House Press Secretary, along with the same energy and candor that defined my tenure, to Fox’s millions of viewers across their many platforms.”

Leavitt’s comments make clear that she views the Fox position as a continuation of her public political work. The role provides her with access to audiences across the network’s news and opinion programming beginning Nov. 1.

The announcement marks Leavitt’s next professional step after leaving the White House and relocating to New Hampshire with her family. She enters the role as a former chief spokeswoman for Trump and a continuing vocal supporter of both Trump and the Republican Party.
