Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun are reportedly getting serious enough to discuss having children, with the possibility of starting a family now influencing another major decision for “The Housemaid” star. According to Page Six, Sweeney is seriously considering converting to Judaism.
“The couple is discussing having their own family, and Scooter feels strongly on the subject,” a source told the outlet. Those conversations come as Braun is also reportedly thinking about marriage.
Page Six reported earlier this month that Braun is planning to propose to Sweeney within the next six months. The reported proposal timeline suggests that the pair are looking closely at what their future together could hold.
Sweeney has already joined Braun for a significant religious occasion. She was spotted attending Rosh Hashanah services with the mogul at Temple Sholom in Greenwich, Connecticut.
“They sat in the back,” said a spy who saw the pair at the synagogue. Temple Sholom counts Mayim Bialik and prominent financiers Mark Shenkman, Steven Tananbaum, Cliff Asness and Andrew Milgram among its congregants.
The online site DeuxMoi first reported that Sweeney was considering conversion. Page Six now reports that her interest in joining the Jewish faith is serious and has progressed beyond casual consideration.
A source told Page Six that the prominent actress has met with two rabbis. No additional details were provided about those meetings or where they took place.
Converting to Judaism can take between one and four years, according to the report. The process includes rigorous study and requires the participation of a sponsoring rabbi.

Sweeney’s consideration of conversion comes as Braun reportedly draws a comparison between the actress and another celebrated Hollywood figure. A source previously said that Braun thinks Sweeney is “the modern Marilyn Monroe.”

Both Sweeney and Monroe have been regarded as major sex symbols. Monroe converted to Judaism after marrying her third husband, playwright Arthur Miller.
Meanwhile, Braun is reportedly determined to marry Sweeney. One source described his pursuit of the actress in emphatic terms earlier this month.
“He is trying very hard to marry her,” the source told Page Six. “He is following her and chartering private planes. He’s going to stay focused on her until she marries him.”
Braun also publicly celebrated Sweeney on Sept. 12 with a birthday tribute posted online. In the message, he called her “the person who surprised me and showed me how life with true partnership can be lived.”
“You make me smile harder, laugh louder, adventure more, and dream bigger,” Braun wrote. “You’ve made the ordinary feel exciting, and the future feel like something I can’t wait to get to.”
The tribute presented their relationship as one that has changed how Braun views both everyday life and the years ahead. His message arrived alongside reports that he is focused on marriage and planning to propose within six months.
The couple has also recently traveled together. Sweeney and Braun took a vacation with a group in Lake Powell, Utah, as reports about their relationship and possible future continued to build.
For Sweeney, the reported family discussions have brought a deeply personal religious question into focus. Her attendance at Rosh Hashanah services and meetings with two rabbis mark the steps Page Six has reported as she seriously weighs conversion.
Braun’s reported hopes for marriage, his public birthday message, and the couple’s conversations about children all point toward a relationship focused on the future. For now, Sweeney’s consideration of Judaism remains a serious process that could take years to complete.
