Kate Hudson is keeping the glow of her Hawaiian getaway alive. The actress, 47, shared a collection of vacation throwbacks on Instagram after traveling to Hawaii for a friend’s wedding.
One photo showed Hudson relaxing on the beach with her fiancé, Danny Fujikawa. She displayed her toned figure in a bright red bandeau bikini while sitting beside him on the sand.
The “Song Sung Blue” star completed her beach look with dark sunglasses and a gold necklace. Her blonde hair was pulled back, while Fujikawa went shirtless in patterned swim trunks and a baseball cap.
Hudson made her feelings about leaving the tropical destination clear in the Instagram carousel. She captioned the collection, “Mentally still here,” while giving followers several glimpses of the sunny trip.
Another image captured Hudson lounging beside a friend on separate white towels spread across the beach. Hudson wore the same red bikini, while her friend selected a black swimsuit, and both women shielded their eyes with dark sunglasses.

Followers quickly filled the comments with praise for Hudson and her appearance. One person celebrated the confidence and beauty displayed by women entering the same stage of life as the actress.
“I feel like all the women I grew up with and watched on TV, who are around the same age as me, are absolutely glowing in their 40s-50s era,” the person commented. The follower added, “There's a confidence, a freedom and a beauty that comes with this stage of life. You're glowing, Kate.”

Another admirer focused on Hudson’s upbeat personality. “Without sounding creepy, all I want is to hang out with Kate Hudson for a day! She is just a ray of sunshine!” the follower wrote.
The Hawaiian trip also included an elegant evening celebrating a friend’s wedding. For that portion of the getaway, Hudson exchanged her red bikini for a strapless, floor-length gown covered with shimmering embellishments.
Hudson posed with a friend who wore a white dress trimmed with feathers. The two smiled while holding drinks at an outdoor reception featuring elaborate arrangements of white flowers.
The actress also posted a playful travel photo taken aboard a private jet. Wearing sunglasses and a flowing leopard print dress, Hudson posed near the entrance to the aircraft’s cabin.
Although Hudson was in Hawaii to celebrate someone else’s marriage, she has openly discussed the difficulties of organizing her own wedding. She and Fujikawa have been engaged since September 2021 but have not yet walked down the aisle.
During a September appearance on the “Sibling Revelry” podcast, Hudson spoke with actresses Joey and Hunter King about her engagement. Hudson co-hosts the podcast with her brother, Oliver Hudson.
“I still am not married. I'm just engaged,” Hudson said. She explained that planning becomes complicated whenever she and Fujikawa begin considering how many people they would need to invite, while he prefers a small wedding.
Hudson also addressed the cost of elaborate wedding celebrations. “That's part of why I don't want to get married,” she said. “I'm like, 'It's too expensive. I just want like hors d'oeuvres.'”
Hudson and Fujikawa began dating in 2016 after knowing each other for years through mutual friends. They welcomed their daughter, Rani Rose, in October 2018.
The actress is also the mother of two sons. She shares Ryder Robinson with her ex-husband, Chris Robinson, and Bingham Bellamy with her former fiancé, Matt Bellamy.
Despite her uncertainty about wedding planning, Hudson has spoken warmly about Fujikawa and his commitment to their family. In a 2019 interview with Women’s Health, she described him as a supportive partner.
“I've got the best man,” Hudson said. “It's the first time I feel like I have a real teammate in this.”
