Those of us who grew up in the 1960s were lucky enough to experience a time full of world-class music. Back then, musicians actually recorded their songs in one take instead of today's method of stopping and going, cutting and pasting in the studio.

The video shows the Rhonettes performing on the Big TNT Show back in 1963. Life was simpler back then, as parents didn't have to be so overprotective of their children.
This performance was particularly special in that the Rhonettes split up soon afterwards. During their time together, the girl group from New York had nine songs on the Billboard charts and had five Top 40 hits.

The trio is also related, with two of them being sisters and the other one their cousin. Their look is classic 1960s, as it was them that popularized the black beehive hairdos and dark eye makeup that helped to define the fashion of the era.

The video below shows The Rhonettes performing "Be My Baby," which is arguably their most famous song. Years later in 1999, the group was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame for this very song. In 2007, the Rhonettes were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, cementing their status as legendary performers.
