Traveling on an airplane can be a stressful experience, and even the most patient people sometimes end up getting frazzled. Long lines, crying babies, and delayed flights only make the experience of traveling even worse.
Fashion and lifestyle blogger Mackenzie Murphy was traveling recently when she saw a mother of twins traveling with her babies. At first, Mackenzie was saddened by what she saw happening before her eyes.
"Yesterday, this woman on my flight had twin babies, probably under 6 months, not so sure of the age," she said. "It was a very packed flight so they started taking carry on luggage to store under the plane. A gate worker took this woman's car seat, meaning she would now have to hold both babies since they weren't old enough to sit up on their own in a seat."
As soon as the mother sat down, a flight attendant rushed over and told her that she was not allowed to hold on to both babies, since it would be a safety hazard. Since the flight was full, the mother was told that she would have to leave.
That's when a stranger stepped up and came to the mother's rescue.
"A mother sitting in front of me, with permission from the other mother, volunteered to hold one of her babies for the entire flight," Mackenzie wrote. "Keep in mind this was a flight that was supposed to be a quick 45 minutes. We ended up sitting on the tarmac for 2 1/2 hours! Without a complaint this woman fed the other woman's baby, burped him."
The stranger even fed and burped the baby!

The surrogate mom had a child of her own traveling with her, and the little girl started to get jealous that another baby was getting her mother's attention.
"Her own daughter started crying," Mackenzie said. "This mom, so calmly, went on to explain to her young daughter that 'our job is to help other people. This mom is all by herself with no help, and really needs another mom to help.' She then went on to hold him, sing him songs, and then he slept the entire flight without even a cry."
We applaud this stranger for helping another mother in need! We need more people like her in the world!
