Professional wrestling icon Ric Flair announced Tuesday that he is once again cancer-free following successful treatment for skin cancer, as reported by TMZ.

Flair, 76, shared the update on social media with a photo showing him bandaged on his left arm and above his left eye. The post included a thank-you message to the medical team at the Academic Alliance in Dermatology for overseeing his recovery.

He punctuated the announcement with his trademark catchphrase, writing, “WOOOOOOO!!!”

The WWE Hall of Famer revealed his most recent melanoma diagnosis in June. The health concern forced him to cancel a fan meet-and-greet in Mississippi just over a week after the announcement.

At the time, Flair acknowledged the seriousness of the disease and addressed his history of delaying medical care.

“I have health issues that I need to attend to,” he said. “As I have procrastinated putting my health first in the past.”

This is Flair’s second confirmed battle with skin cancer in the last three years. He previously underwent treatment in 2021.

Flair has faced multiple serious health challenges in recent years. In 2017, he was hospitalized due to organ failure, a life-threatening event that kept him in intensive care for several weeks. In 2023, he underwent heart surgery and had a pacemaker implanted.

Despite his health struggles, Flair has remained active in public appearances and continues to engage with fans. His resilience has long made him a symbol of toughness within the professional wrestling community.

Flair is best known for his decades-long wrestling career, characterized by his flamboyant persona, signature robes, and iconic “Nature Boy” nickname. He is a 16-time recognized world champion and one of the most celebrated figures in sports entertainment history.

Flair’s announcement Tuesday was met with an outpouring of support from wrestling fans and fellow athletes alike. Though no future appearances have yet been confirmed, Flair indicated he is focused on recovery and plans to return to public events when fully able.
