Chase Rice has returned to the studio, marking a new phase for the country music star after he took a break from touring earlier this year.
The 40-year-old singer shared the news with fans in an upbeat Instagram post, confirming that he is back to making music while also taking time to enjoy life outside of the spotlight.
He wrote, “Back in the studio. Some time off at the start of the year, then right into Red Rocks and Stagecoach was wild. I was having FUN on the stage again. I know it hasn’t been long, but it made me miss it.”
Rice went on to explain that his time away is focused on balancing personal joy and creative inspiration.
“Now I’ve got a little more time off to go live life, be with friends, golf, write, record, drink, watch The Chosen, not drink, fish, travel, see my niece and nephews and be with family,” he added.
“I don’t know what that’s gonna do for these songs, but I can’t wait to find out. Love y’all, thanks for a fun ride.”
The post comes after Rice announced in January that he needed a break from the road following 13 years of nonstop touring.

At the time, he opened up about the toll that years of performing had taken on his passion and energy.
“Alright everybody, I wasn’t sure whether I was gonna talk about this or not but here we are,” he wrote on Instagram earlier this year.
“I’ve been touring for 13 years and I’ve lived a dream far greater than I could’ve ever expected. This isn’t a goodbye thing or anything like that to be clear upfront, although it may feel like that, but I’m exhausted.”
Rice admitted that the grind of touring had started to affect how much he enjoyed performing.
“I haven’t been able to be myself on stage in quite a while and really enjoy music and why I got into it in the first place,” he stated.
“I love songs, I love living them, hearing stories from other people, and figuring out how to put that life into music. After 13 years it’s finally beat me up to the point where I need to step away for a while.”
His decision to stay off the road this year, he said, was necessary for his personal well-being and creativity.
“It wasn’t even really a decision, it was something I know that I just have to do for myself. A lot of artists do this all the time, but it’s new for me so it’s kind of a big deal in my life.”
He also took time to thank his touring team and loyal fanbase for their support during his career.
“To my band and crew, I love y’all,” he wrote.
“You’ve seen me at my worst yet you still love me back like I’ve lived my best. I hope we can all get together in the coming years and get back to enjoying life on the road again.”

Rice expressed deep appreciation to fans who have followed him from the start.
“You have truly made a dream of mine come true,” he shared.
Even as he steps back from constant travel, Rice made clear that new creative directions are ahead. “But it will not look anything like what I’ve done the last 13 years of my life,” he said of what’s next.
“I hope this year brings new experiences for me to put into songs that make y’all happy. Until then, thanks for the ride.”
Between his renewed energy, time for family, and return to songwriting, Chase Rice’s comeback to the studio signals that the break may have reignited his love for the music that started it all.
