Podcast megastar Joe Rogan took direct aim at socialism as Democratic Socialists of America candidates eke out wins in Democrat primary contests across the nation.
Rogan argued that the appeal of Democratic socialism falls apart once its policies move from slogans to enforcement. His criticism centered on power, authority, and the force he said would be needed to make the agenda work.
He made the comments while speaking with guest Andrew Wilson.
Their discussion focused on why some socialist policies are presented as workable examples, while Rogan said the broader project faces a deeper problem.

“And they think that this idea of Democratic socialism is a really good idea because there are some examples of socialist policies that do work, like the fire department, and there’s a bunch of stuff that makes sense,” Rogan said as he and Wilson talked.
That point, however, was not where Rogan stopped.
He said the trouble begins when those ideas are imposed through government power.
“But the problem with enforcing any of this stuff that they don’t understand is it always comes down to power,” he continued.

Rogan then framed the issue in blunt terms, saying that Democratic socialism depends on authority backed by force.
To him, the flaw is not merely about funding, but about what government must do to compel compliance.
“You have to have massive authority and usually guns, because you can’t just steal people’s money,” he said.
He followed by pointing to a hypothetical tax aimed at high earners.
Rogan said people would not simply accept a sweeping government demand for everything above a certain income level.
“They’re not going to let you just come in and decide, hey, we just devised a new tax where everybody who makes more than $500,000 a year… everything over that, you have to give 100% to the state,” he concluded.

To President Trump
Socialism and Communism gain a strong foothold in the U.S. Constitution with the 16th Amendment. The 16th Amendment needs to be repealed. It enables the federal income and payroll taxes to greatly expand the size, power and control of the federal government.
Move the tax base from production to a national consumption tax system with Prebate to untax legal residents to family subsistence level spending. Also abolish the I.R.S., restore economic freedom, encourage saving and investment. Return taxation to a system that is simple, visible and efficient.
President Trump, to do this, please support the passage of the FAIRtax Act HR 25 to renew the Declaration of Independence proclamation for life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.
