New York Comic Con erupted into chaos Thursday when “Helluva Boss” actor Brandon Rogers angrily confronted an unidentified heckler who repeatedly shouted over the cast during the animated series’ panel at the Javits Center.

The attendee interrupted the Prime Video panel six times, repeatedly derailing the conversation on the convention’s Main Stage. Rogers eventually warned the person that he would cross the barrier separating the stage from the audience.

The first disruption occurred while “Helluva Boss” creator Vivienne Medrano was addressing the crowd. Initially, Medrano appeared to respond lightly to the interruption, telling the heckler, “Thank you, good energy to start off.”

The shouting continued, however, and Rogers quickly lost his patience. The actor, who voices Blitzo on the adult animated series, delivered an expletive-filled warning from the stage.

“You need to shut the f**k up right now. I swear to God I’m going to jump over this fence and end you. It’s not cute,” Rogers said as the confrontation intensified.

Rogers then defended Medrano and expressed frustration that her remarks had been interrupted. “Vivienne was just sharing a really sweet story. This is f**ing Comic-Con, guys. I’m sorry,” he added.

What the attendee was shouting could not be determined from the available account. As the disruptions continued, Rogers stood up from his seat and furiously walked toward the front of the stage.

“You need to get the f**k out right now, or I will make you leave,” Rogers scolded. He then returned toward his seat while directing a pointed question at the event’s staff.

“Isn’t there someone in a vest? Bulletproof one, maybe?” he asked. Despite his demand for intervention, the unidentified audience member interrupted the panel again later in the session.

That disruption came while voice actor Vivian Nixon was discussing motherhood. Rogers again called for event staff to remove the person, making his anger clear to the crowd and those working inside the venue.

“Is anyone working at this f**ing event? Can someone please get this motherf**er the hell out of here? I swear to God,” he said.

One fan who said they attended the panel described the heckler’s comments as nonsense and suggested the person was ultimately removed. The attendee did not provide further details about the apparent removal.

“I was there for the panel, and this guy was just yelling nonsense. I do believe they ended up kicking him out,” the fan wrote on Instagram.

ReedPop, the organizer behind Comic Con, subsequently acknowledged the repeated disturbance and apologized for the response. A spokesperson said that although the situation was addressed after the panel, officials had not acted quickly enough.

“We are aware of a repeated disturbance from a fan in the audience during Thursday’s ‘Helluva Boss’ panel,” the spokesperson told Variety.

“While the situation was addressed after the panel, action was not taken swiftly enough, and we apologize to the panelists, moderator, and fans in attendance for the disruption.”

ReedPop also said it was reviewing how such disruptions would be handled going forward. “We are taking steps to ensure any future incidents are addressed in a swifter manner,” the spokesperson added.

“Helluva Boss” is an adult animated YouTube series centered on a group of demons operating a hitman business in Hell. The panel brought together several members of the show’s cast and creative team.

Rogers and Nixon appeared alongside Harvey Guillén, Erica Lindbeck, Bryce Pinkham and Richard Steven Horvitz. Perri Nemiroff served as the moderator, while Medrano joined the group as the show’s creator.

The animated series has also included guest appearances by Norman Reedus, Kesha and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” star Jinkx Monsoon. The New York convention runs through Sunday at the Javits Center.

Other stars drawing attention at the event include Nicolas Cage, Hayden Christensen, Sebastian Stan and Rosario Dawson. “Game of Thrones” alumni Lena Headey and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau are also among the names appearing at the convention.
