Nicki Minaj joined President Donald Trump onstage at a packed rally in Detroit, Michigan, on Sunday, bringing her celebrity support to his last-minute push for Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers. Trump is urging Michigan voters to back Rogers and defeat Muslim Democrat Abdul El Sayed, as reported by Breitbart.
The rally marked another public show of support from Minaj, who has appeared beside Trump several times. Ahead of the Detroit event, the rap star released a statement to the Washington Examiner emphasizing the stakes of the midterm election.
“This midterm election is the most important of our lifetimes. We need to make sure President Trump has a strong, effective team in Congress for his final two years in office so he can continue delivering transformative programs like Trump Accounts, which I am proud to support.”

Minaj has become a major supporter of Trump and was prominently featured in the rollout of his Trump Accounts savings plan for American children. Her statement tied the Michigan Senate contest directly to Trump’s ability to pursue his agenda during his final two years in office.
The “Pink Friday” rapper has repeatedly made her enthusiasm for the president clear. In January, she said she was probably Trump’s number one fan while appearing at a Trump Accounts summit promoting the president’s new investment accounts program.
The program offers new $1,000 tax-advantaged investment accounts. Minaj used her appearance at the summit to declare that criticism from the left would not weaken her support for Trump.
“I am probably the president’s number one fan, and that’s not going to change,” Minaj asserted at the Wednesday summit. Her remarks left no doubt about the strength of her political loyalty.
“The hate, or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all,” the “Super Bass” singer continued. She added, “It actually motivates me to support him more.”

Minaj also presented her response as part of a broader determination among Trump’s supporters. She said the criticism and political attacks aimed at him would only deepen that backing.
“And it’s going to motivate all of us to support him more. We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him, and the smear campaigns, it’s not going to work.”
Trump has publicly returned Minaj’s praise. Early this year, he proclaimed that she is the “greatest female rapper in history,” offering a sweeping compliment to one of his most visible celebrity supporters.
Minaj also shared a video showing her aboard Air Force One. At the Detroit rally, she helped Trump energize the crowd as he made his case for Rogers and rallied Michigan voters behind the Republican ticket.

Her appearance added celebrity attention to Trump’s effort on behalf of Rogers. Minaj’s participation also continued her public promotion of Trump Accounts, a program she said she is proud to support.
Trump, meanwhile, has sharply warned Michigan voters about what he describes as the danger El Sayed represents to the nation. His attacks have focused on the Democratic candidate as the president urges voters to deny him a Senate victory.
In a recent Truth Social post, Trump said he was traveling to Michigan to “fight a Jihadist Member of the Muslim Brotherhood.” The declaration underscored the intensity of his appeal as he campaigned for Rogers.
