Lenny Kravitz clarified that he was not involved in the fatal Florida plane crash that sparked a wave of grim speculation on social media Sunday. His representative firmly rejected reports connecting the rocker to the Learjet and its deadly final flight, as reported by Page Six.
“The reports are untrue and incorrect,” Kravitz’s rep, Carleen Donovan, told BocaNewsNow.
The rumors emerged after a Learjet headed for the Bahamas crashed into a South Florida mobile home park over the weekend. All nine people aboard the aircraft were killed in the crash.
The speculation centered on Florida-based pilot Emily Shelton, who had posted about transporting Kravitz on a similar route shortly before the accident. Social media users wrongly identified Shelton as the person flying the doomed aircraft, which was valued at $2 million.

“Honored to be flying the one and only Lenny Kravitz from [Austin-Bergstrom International Airport] to [North Eleuthera Airport, Bahamas] tomorrow. Looking forward to having him on board,” read a screenshot of Shelton’s since-deleted Facebook post.
Shelton also referenced one of Kravitz’s songs in the post. “’It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over’ is gonna be playing in the cockpit .”
After fans resurfaced the post on X, some immediately assumed that Shelton and Kravitz had both died in the Florida crash. The claim spread even though Shelton had been wrongly identified as the pilot involved.
Shelton, 21, had previously attracted widespread attention in August after making an emergency landing on Interstate 10. As the new rumors gained traction, she turned to TikTok to clarify that she had no connection to the Palm Beach crash.

“I was recently made aware that there are rumors that I was the pilot of the recent crash in Palm Beach,” Shelton wrote Sunday.
She then directly rejected the claim and urged people to stop circulating unsupported information about the tragedy.
“I would like to respectfully clarify I was not. I ask that people please stop speculating and spreading misinformation on this tragedy and be respectful of those involved.”
Shelton also expressed sympathy for the victims and everyone affected by the disaster. “My heart goes out to all those lost and affected.”

On Monday, The Post exclusively identified the pilot as 20-year-old Nathalia Gadelha. According to the report, Gadelha obtained her pilot license while she was still attending high school.
The aircraft had taken off from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas. During the flight, it made a sharp right turn before nosediving from an altitude of 8,000 feet into the ground.
The impact produced a huge crater and a fireball at the South Florida scene. The plane came down in a mobile home park, bringing the flight to a catastrophic end with no survivors among the nine people aboard.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis described the disaster as “cataclysmic” while discussing what the aircraft looked like as it descended.
“It looked like a missile going down; it left a big crater on the side of the road,” DeSantis said of the jet.

Kravitz’s denial and Shelton’s statement dismantled the viral assumptions linking them to the aircraft. Their responses also drew a clear distinction between the social media speculation and the information reported about the pilot, the flight, and the nine victims.
