Every family has traditions that they enjoy doing every year. For this family, their main tradition is attending the 4th of July Grasslake parade, which they have been going to for over twenty years.

When Independence Day rolled around this year, the family grabbed their chairs and headed out to watch the parade as they always do. However, they had no idea that this year, they were in for a huge surprise!

The Grasslake parade typically begins with the Color Guard, which consists of different military branch members marching together. The mother of the family pulled out her phone to record so that she could send the video to her two sons, who both serve in the military themselves. She wanted her sons to feel like they were there since they were going to miss the parade again this year.

All of a sudden, the mother noticed something that had her saying, "Oh my gosh!"

The mother was stunned to notice her two sons John and Tom walking towards her in full uniform! They were brought in to march in the Color Guard representing the US Army and the US Navy, and their parents had no idea that they were going to do that! Their sister Shannon had managed to keep what would happen a secret so that they could surprise their parents at the parade.

The tearful reunion that this family has is sure to melt your heart! Check out the video below, and SHARE this story so your friends and family can see this as well!
