Raimundo Arrudo Sobrihno has been living on the streets homeless for 35 years. In order to cope with his situation, he has been writing poems and short stories to keep himself sane even though he figured nobody else would ever read them.

Raimundo, 77, wrote a poem or story every day, and he dreamed that one day they might be published. Born in the Brazilian countryside, he had moved to the city of Sao Paolo, where he worked as a book dealer and a gardener. Sadly, he became homeless during the military dictatorship and was never able to get back on his feet again.

As the decades wore on, Raimundo never lost his passion for poetry. Residents of the city would see him always holding scruffy pieces of paper, but they never knew what he was doing with them.

Raimundo's life changed forever in 2011 when he met a young woman named Shalla. She noticed Raimundo writing every time she walked by him, and she always wondered what he was doing.

Shalla was stunned one day when Raimundo suddenly gave her a poem. She was so touched by this gift that she created a Facebook page where she could share his writings with the world! Neither of them expected the stories to go viral, and they were even more stunned when an unexpected person came forward after finding the page...
