UFC President Dana White addressed questions about the organization’s upcoming “UFC Freedom 250” event during a press conference Saturday night following UFC 327, responding directly to a reporter who raised concerns about potential political reactions tied to the event’s location at the White House, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.
The exchange occurred as White fielded questions after the fight card, continuing his reputation for direct responses during media appearances.
The reporter asked whether there had been any hesitation about hosting a UFC event at the White House, particularly considering differing political views among fans.
“Was there ever hesitancy or consideration of perhaps having an event at the White House and maybe a part of a fan base that does not lean into those politics with the [Trump] administration?” the reporter asked.
“I don’t think like that,” White replied.
The upcoming UFC Freedom 250 event is scheduled to take place on June 14, 2026, on the South Lawn of the White House as part of a celebration marking 250 years of the United States.
The UFC has promoted the event as a historic occasion tied to the nation’s anniversary.

White, who has maintained a longstanding relationship with President Donald Trump, also referenced that connection during the press conference, describing Trump as a friend and highlighting the president’s history as a supporter of mixed martial arts.
Trump has attended numerous UFC events over the years and has appeared cageside at several high-profile fights.

In the days leading up to UFC 327, White had indicated that President Trump would be in attendance at the event in Miami.
Speaking with streamer Adin Ross earlier in the week, White said, “It’s good to be back in Miami. Yeah, I’m pumped. We got the big guy coming on Saturday, too. He’s coming.”
Later that evening, President Trump and White made a high-profile entrance at the Kaseya Center, where the event was held.
The UFC also released an official promotional trailer for UFC Freedom 250 over the weekend, encouraging fans to register for early ticket access ahead of the June event.
The planned White House event represents a unique venue for the organization, bringing a major sporting production to a location typically reserved for official government functions and ceremonies.
The June 14 date aligns with the broader milestone celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, which is expected to include events across the country.
White did not elaborate further on concerns about fan reaction but made clear during the exchange that political considerations were not a factor in his decision-making regarding the event.
