Whoopi Goldberg sparked controversy this week after suggesting that President Donald Trump should be removed from office following his address to the United Nations General Assembly.
During Wednesday’s episode of The View, Goldberg criticized Trump’s speech, calling it “not presidential” and “unhelpful.” She said that world leaders were concerned about U.S. leadership under Trump and that his remarks failed to reassure the international community.
🚨 UPDATE: Whoopi Goldberg demands that President Trump is forcibly removed from office through the 25th Amendment.
She claims that if Biden acted the same way as Trump, she would’ve said the same for Biden.

“He had a chance to deliver much more than what he did, and they don’t consider him to be serious anymore. I’m worried,” Goldberg said.
Goldberg went further by invoking the 25th Amendment, which permits the removal of a president deemed unable to perform official duties.
“Well, they questioned Biden’s competence. If Biden had acted like this, I would have said, ‘Yeah, take him’ … This was not presidential and this was not helpful,” she added.
Her comments prompted immediate backlash online. Supporters of the president accused Goldberg of hypocrisy, pointing out that she did not raise similar concerns about Joe Biden during his presidency from 2021 to 2025, when questions about his mental fitness frequently arose.
“She was curiously silent during the dementia years of 2021–2025,” one user wrote in response.
Another commenter argued that Goldberg misunderstood the purpose of the amendment:
“Why do we care what she has to say? Clearly, she is unable to put reading and comprehension together in a cohesive way. The 25th Amendment has nothing to do with disagreeing with the other party, and she had nothing to say about a mentally incapacitated Biden.”
The incident adds to a long history of political statements by Goldberg, who has frequently used her platform on The View to criticize Trump.
Her latest remarks drew attention not only for their content but also for the timing, coming directly after Trump’s high-profile speech at the United Nations.
The president’s address at the UN focused on global security, trade, and strengthening America’s leadership abroad. While critics like Goldberg dismissed his speech, supporters highlighted his strong tone and direct messaging as reaffirming U.S. priorities on the world stage.
Goldberg’s suggestion of forcibly removing Trump has fueled debate about the boundaries of political commentary by media personalities and reignited discussions about the use of the 25th Amendment.

She’s inconsequential. Her opinion means nothing, and the fact that you’re making an article about her and amplifying her lunacy.
Is wrong shame on you
Whoopi needs to redistribute her wealth and spend a few years living as a normie. She wouldn’t survive a week.
I didn’t know Caryn Johnson had world leaders on speed dial. Curious to know how she was informed on how the world feels about Trump’s speech—or is this another “my stated beliefs and feelings are what the world feels and believes” (a rhetorical question)?
Ms. Johnson didn’t specifically refute any details of Trump’s speech—as is common with those who demonize people instead of stating facts to sway arguments.
Of course, we know she is pandering to a select audience.
I am curious to know when ABC did an about-face on The View’s treatment of Trump. Were they not told to “dial it back?”
Where is that “Line in the Sand” that simply by crossing it renders one liable to face TRIAL & INCARCERATION ?
